RWB YORU — 夜
Yoru is a 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera Cabriolet with a documented connection to the early history of RWB in the United States.
The car was previously owned by Mark Arcenal, founder of Fatlace and Illest, who played an important role in bringing Akira Nakai and RWB culture to America. Mark’s first RWB, Pandora One, became the first RWB Porsche built in the U.S. in 2011.
More than a decade later, Nakai-san returned to build this 964 Cabriolet for Mark. Fatlace documented the transformation in 2024, with the build completed in essentially one day.
The car now resides in Miami, Florida, under the name YORU — 夜, meaning “Night” in Japanese.
The name comes from the car’s deep Infinity Gloss Black finish and the way its character comes alive at night. Its black body, subtle gold accents, and modern yet OEM-inspired lighting give it a look that feels both classic and contemporary. Under the glare of the night, Yoru manages to feel timeless, elegant, and unmistakably modern without losing the soul of the original 964.
