This RWB started life as a 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 and was built in Japan by Akira Nakai around 2008. Unlike many RWBs, this one was put together with track use in mind and has been used in different race events in Japan, both sprint and endurance.

The car has a Super Wide kit installed, along with a carbon roof (sunroof delete). It also has polycarbonate windows and modified rear quarter windows for airflow. It’s finished in matte green and still carries parts of its old race livery. The paint hasn’t been redone since the build, so it shows some use, but nothing unusual for a car that’s actually been driven and raced.

Mechanically, it runs a 3.8L 964 RSR engine sourced from Freisinger Motorsport, paired with a 993 RSR 6-speed close-ratio gearbox. It also has custom equal-length headers made in Japan by Momo-san and RSR intake components.

Suspension is handled by Aragosta coilovers, with 964 Turbo brakes and Work Meister S1 wheels. Inside, the car has been stripped out. There’s a single Recaro SPG fixed seat, roll cage, Takata harnesses, and a MOMO steering wheel with quick release. No carpets or sound deadening, and lightweight door cards replace the originals.

In terms of history, the car has taken part in events like the Idlers races at Okayama International Circuit and other endurance races in Japan. Overall, this is one of the more track-focused RWBs out there.
